WHAT IS FAMILY PRACTICE?
Family medicine is a medical specialty that requires three additional years of training in the comprehensive diagnosis, care, and treatment of most medical problems that arise. Family physicians are distinct in that they emphasize caring for the whole person and their social unit, rather than simply treating isolated health problems.
